Before Infinity’s Axis the novel series, before the music, before any of it — there were the poems. Written over more than thirty years, this body of work is the root system beneath everything Aeon Miller creates. The novels draw from its themes. The songs are built from its lines. The universe it describes is the same one explored across every other medium.
Poetry, at its best, does what no other form can: it holds the exact emotional weight of a moment, compressed into the fewest possible words. These poems do that — for moments of grief, wonder, love, cosmic uncertainty, and the particular feeling of being human and staring up at a sky that offers no easy answers.
From Poem to Song
Many of these poems have been transformed into the songs published on the Infinity’s Axis YouTube channel. The process of transformation — from verse to lyric, from silence to sound — is itself part of the story. What changes when a poem becomes a song? What survives? The answers are in the music.
